The Best Brioche French Toast Recipe

Katie has been on me for basically the entirety of our relationship to make some amazing French Toast and I finally gave it a long overdue shot a few months ago. 

Makes approximately 8 slices 

Ingredients:

  • 3 Eggs

  • ½ cup Milk (we use whole milk) 

  • ½ tbsp Vanilla

  • 2 tbsp Sugar plus more for topping 

  • ½ tsp Cinnamon plus more for topping

  • Salt

  • Thick Sliced Brioche bread

 

In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, Vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat

Spray the skillet with a neutral oil to prevent the bread from sticking. 

Dip bread into the mixture ensuring all sides are coated then place bread into the heated skillet. Make sure you whisk up the mixture again before dipping otherwise your first slice will be very egg-filled.

Sprinkle a small amount of cinnamon and sugar on the toast in the pan

Cook bread until lightly toasted. Approximately 1 minute on each side.

French toast can be enjoyed however you would like. Our favorite way is to throw some maple syrup on it and throw some whipped cream on top for some sugary deliciousness but you could also throw some fresh berries on top to enjoy it for a healthier option.
