Do you need an immersion blender?
In my opinion, yes.
While NEED is a pretty strong word, if you have a working blender you don’t NEED an immersion blender, however, it makes some things in the kitchen significantly easier and less time-consuming.
As a bona fide soup and sauce girly my immersion blender is one of my favorite kitchen gadgets. It was one of the few wedding presents I remember receiving and who we got it from because I was so excited to no longer have to transfer my soups and sauces to the blender. I always found that process to be so tedious and it made the cooking process way less fun. Plus cleaning a blender and the rest of the kitchen after that process is a pain. With an immersion blender, you can just blend in the pot and the cleanup is one small piece. Also as someone who has been apartment living for years with small kitchens, it doesn’t take up very much space. So if you are someone who loves soups and sauces like me, I highly recommend you get an immersion blender.
